Dear Community, based on your feedback about the interactive type programs we brought to you, KAW is rolling out a new initiative Chat with KAW every Wednesday from 7:30 PM to 8:30 /9:00 PM where we will cover any topic which is useful and relevant to you. KAW Children's Day Celebration

KAW invites you to join us for “KAW Children’s Day Celebrations”. As part of 2020 Children’s Day, KAW will be hosting a series of offline and online events including Coloring, Recitation, Pencil Drawing, Essay Writing, Story Writing, Poem Writing, Elocution for kids ranging from Pre-School to High-School.
To participate in online/offline events, you must register here before 9:00PM PST Wednesday, Nov 8th.
For Online / Live events: Quiz and Elocution, we will touch base with you with details. KAW Ente Keralam - കേരള പിറവി ദിനാഘോഷം

"Ente Keralam", a Karaoke Live Musical Program celebrating "Kerala piravi". If you are a singer, this is a great opportunity to showcase your talent. Send us your entries no later than October 16th 9:00PM PST.

  3. Professional stage experience is highly recommended

Nilaamazha - KAW Fundraiser Live Music show

KAW Charity presenting Nilaamazha - Live Musical Show with renowned playback singers Jyotsna Radhakrishnan, K.K Nishad, Ralfin Stephen (Keyboard) & band on September 26th Saturday 6:30 PM Pacific Time. We are partnering with Care & Share as well as Stand with Kerala (Dallas) to raise $30,000 in 10 days for the following causes.
  1. ($20,000) Urgent help for a 16 year old girl suffering from acute myeloid leukemia (Our original target was $10,000, but as the girl is being moved to Vellore Hospital on 9/27 Sunday and as she needs a Bone Marrow Transplant as well, the total needed to support her is over 15 lakhs)
  2. ($5,000) Donate a Ventilator for Pathanamthitta Govt Hospital
  3. ($5,000) Seattle Children's Hospital

KAW Book Club

KAW 2020 is organizing a Book Club for our members - A forum to talk about good books, pick a book to read, conduct discussions on selected books and organize connected literary activities. We are starting the Book Club with three categories - Malayalam, English Fiction, and English NonFiction. Click on the corresponding link above to join the specific WhatsApp groups (you can join more than one group). The functioning of the Book Club will be explained in a Zoom Meeting on 9/17 Thursday at 7:00 PM. KAW Team 2020 Members Ojus John, Nimesh Sethumadhavan, and Sabitha Brijesh along with volunteers from the community Santhosh Pillai, Deepthi Rajesh, and Parvathi Nambiar will coordinate the Book Club Groups

Note: We are in the final stage of the 1000 Masks initiative. We have already distributed ~600 maks in the community and to priority requests from hospitals. We are in the process of distributing the remaining masks to hospitals and shelters and hope to complete by this weekend. KAW will keep hold of a very limited number of masks for any emergent needs from the community.
